MsTJ Unless you are planning to completely restructure your categories, you might as well carry over the history so your Quick Budget averages will be accurate and you can have continuous reporting.
Allowance for YNAB is a companion app to the You Need a Budget service that allows you to select the categories you are most interested in and display them in places where you can, at a glance.
It's not a huge effort to fix everything post-migration. It just needs to be done in the current month, and you need to know what to look for.
Prior to migration, move all future dated transactions into the scheduler. This will help match category balances.
Post-migration:
Unhide hidden categories that have a balance that were zero in YNAB4. Budget them back to zero in the current month. Hide them.
In the current month, match all your category balances by adjusting the budgeted amount.
Any transactions in transaction history that had been categorized to a Pre-YNAB debt category will be uncategorized. They need to be categorized to Inflow TBB. Shortcut bar 1.8.10 download free.
Because of the difference in credit card handling and the lack of red arrow, busget money to the credit card payment categories so that the amount available is the same as the YNAB4 calulated payment amount (account balance (as positive number) - pre-ynab debt category balance).
